‘Lost voices’ is a visual commentary on the pervasive influence of social media and the resulting erosion of individual thought and autonomy. Inspired by the philosophy of Immanuel Kant, who argued that true knowledge requires active engagement and critical thinking, this painting challenges the modern trend of passive information consumption and the homogenizing effects of online presence. In this painting Liga depicts a puppet, often referred to as a "dummy," which symbolizes the way people often become mere extensions of social media trends and opinions, lacking independent thought. The artwork serves as both a warning and an encouragement: to be aware of the strings that might control us and to strive for intellectual and personal freedom in the digital age.
